People who love to eat are always the best people” – Julia Child

If there is one thing all people want, it is food. We are all connected to food. The top priority besides our family, food fills the second place. In fact, the love of food has been widely appreciated that it is one of the most talked topic every day worldwide. Before, one could only purchase a food item in stores. Due to the enhancement of technology, it is now made available online.

Nowadays, people lived in a fast-paced environment. Time has been spent more on work and commuting that buying necessary food items becomes a struggle. Fast food establishments have then launched online services to cater to the people’s needs. But still, the options were limited. Thus, the creation of MyChef Philippines.

MyChef Philippines’ concept developed as an idea when the owner wanted to buy something special for her sister in Australia. Since there isn’t much establishment offering such services, this prompted him to create an online platform that enables budding food entrepreneurs to showcase their products and as well as providing food options for online customers.

Currently, MyChef is in its beta phase and is looking for food partners. Do you have a food product that you’d like to sell? Sign up and be a MyChef food Partner! Turn your cooking passion into extra cash. Be your own boss.

In Partnership with Lalamove

To ensure the safety of the food products, My Chef Philippines has partnered with Lalamove as its delivery courier. Lalamove actually started in Hong Kong and expanded its services to China, Singapore, Taiwan, Bangkok, Thailand, Vietnam and now in the Philippines. Customers and Chef partners may avail of their shipping options for an affordable price.

For centuries under the island sun, tradition has been crafting us a well-loved delicacy that even present-day generations continue to savor and crave. Across the Philippine archipelago—despite large masses of land and bodies of water separating the regions and creating thousands of distinct cultures—Filipinos have collectively preserved the process of creating this dish and turned it into art: Daing.

Today, one particular name is taking this art into many new levels above the sea. MyChef’s Resident Chef, Ice Arrojado, talks to Chef Arnold Bernardo, who sits at the helm of this delectably “fishy” business.

Everything handmade, homemade, and made with love. That is essentially what "The Better Kitchen" is. What started as making cakes and pies for friends and family, soon extended to a low-key brand that was only known by word of mouth. The kind that you only know of because you tasted from a friend, or tasted at a potluck, or saw on a friend's Facebook or Instagram feed.

Arleen Bautista, the mastermind behind The Better Kitchen, believes in consistency and excellence in quality—that means everything from choosing the best ingredients, to careful preparations, up to packaging. She says that she always wants everything to be exactly the way she wants it to look, if she's the client herself. Hence, all her products are handmade, prepared by herself, with the help of her, co-conspirator and husband, Benj, as well as her two sidekick daughters, Shanice and Angel.
